Anna Mae (Holdren) Brungard, 92, of Loganton passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020 at Manor Care, Jersey Shore where she was a patient one year.
Born May 4, 1928 in the east end of Rote she was a daughter of the late Russell and Margaret (Shaffer) Holdren.
Anna was married to Charles S. Brungard on August 24, 1944. They celebrated 65 years of marriage together. He passed away January 19, 2010.
She worked for Peckway in Loganton and retired from the Blouse Factory in Millheim after 17 years.
Anna was a former member of St. John’s Lutheran Church in Booneville. She enjoyed hosting dinners for her family and friends, traveling, playing cards, board games and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Surviving are her daughter, Patricia A. Summers of Loganton and three grandchildren, Jesse (Nichole), Shane (Kristy) and William and four great grandchildren, Caitlyn (Michael) Stover, Nova Simcox, Luke Simcox, Darbi Jo Simcox and a great-great grandson Noah, also niece she raised Sandra Stover of TN.
She is survived by a brother Donald (Elda Mae) Holdren of Loganton and two sisters, Grace Nicholas of Jersey Shore and Doris Merrill of Loganton.
Anna was preceded in death by three brothers, Russell, Jr., Merrill and Elwood and two sisters Pearl Gunsallus and Freda Rockey.
A gathering for family and friends will be held from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, October 22, 2020 at the family residence 109 W. South Street, Loganton.
Interment will be private at Greenburr Cemetery, Loganton.
Helt Funeral Chapel, Mill Hall has charge of arrangements.
