Brian K. “Orny” Orndorf, 56, of Lock Haven entered into rest after a heroic battle with cancer at Mount Nittany Medical Center, State College on Sunday, Sept., 25, 2022.
Born in Lock Haven on April 25, 1966 he was a son of Jack S. and Eva I. (Streck) Orndorf of Howard.
He was married to the former Phyllis C. Poorman in 2001.
Brian was a self-employed construction worker.
Brian held an undying love for his grandchildren, carrying him through his 10-year battle with cancer.
Brian was an avid outdoorsman with a special love for hunting, fishing, camping, music and especially the Beetles.
As a graduate of State College area High School class of 1984, Brian developed a strong passion for wrestling and football forming lifelong friendships with his classmates and fellow wrestlers.
Brian was honored in the spring of 2022 with “The Orny Gathering.”
He had the uncanny ability to find happiness no matter what life threw his way.
Brian will be greatly missed by all who had the pleasure to know him.
Surviving are his parents, wife and two daughter’s Bethany (Eric) Heaton of Lock Haven and Laura Orndorf-Darby of Tuscon, AZ and three sons, Roy (Keshia) Orndorf of Beech Creek, Shane Orndorf of State College and Steven Leech of Pittsburgh. Four grandchildren, Alyson, Cadance, Kyla Jo and Grayson.
Two sisters, Kelly (Scott) Williams of Pleasant Gap and Jodi (John) Orndorf Thompson of State College and a brother Larry (Laura) Orndorf of Lock Haven.
He is survived by his nieces and nephews, Sydney, Zach, Hailey, Todd, Matt, Leah and Rachel.
He was preceded in death by his beloved dog Rocky.
The Funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Pastor Mark E. Riley officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received from Noon – 2:00 p.m. at the chapel.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to all of the medical professionals and staff whom were involved in taking such great care of Brian throughout his battle.

Interment will be private.
