Clifford “Ron” Berry, 84, of 138 Berry Lane, Loganton passed away, Tuesday, April 7, 2020 at home.
Born January 2, 1936 in Flemington he was a son of the late Clifford and Mae (Nolan) Berry.
He was married on August 13, 1971 to the former Ruth M. Smith. They celebrated 48 years of marriage together.
Ron attended Lock Haven High School and graduated from the former Lock Haven State Teachers College where he received a degree in elementary education.
He served in the Army during the Berlin Wall Crisis in 1960.
Clifford was an elementary teacher for the Keystone Central School District and taught at Lamar Twp. for many years.
He was a member of Blanchard Church of Christ where he assisted with King of Kings and was a member of God’s Golden Gems. He was a former member of Mackeyville United Methodist Church where he served as chairman of the board and other leadership positions and sang in the church choir. He was also a member of the Sugar Valley Lions Club.
He was very active in his youth enjoying, skiing, swimming, sail boating, board games, riding his ATV and camping. He enjoyed the Christmas season and spending time with his family.
Surviving are his loving wife, two daughters Holly (David) Muthler of Lock Haven and Christina (Craig) Coder of Tylersville.
Four grandchildren, Hunter, Evan, Hannah and Darren also two great grandchildren Hayla and Iris.
He is survived by two brothers, Rev. Robert Berry of Seymour, TN and Richard Berry of Palm Coast, FL.
A private funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2020 at Helt Funeral Chapel, Mill Hall with Rev. Russel Moldovan officiating. The service can be viewed online at Helt Funeral Chapel’s Facebook page or at https://tinyurl.com/Ron-Berry.
Burial will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Blanchard Church of Christ through the funeral chapel.
A Celebration of Life Service will he held at a later date.
