Darvin E. Sweeley, 81, of Rauchtown and a former longtime resident of Mill Hall passed away, Thursday, Dec., 8, 2022 at UPMC Susquehanna in Williamsport where he was a patient since Friday.
Born in Coburn on April 15, 1941 he was a son of the late James and Anna (Keister) Sweeley.
Darvin was married on July 17, 1986 to the former Jane L. Fisher. They celebrated 36 years of marriage together.
He worked for Haven Homes in Beech Creek for 30 years, retiring in 2001.
Darvin enjoyed woodworking, spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. His favorite pastime was spending time with his constant companion and buddy Morgan his pet dog.
Surviving are his loving wife; a daughter; Karen Orsin of Jersey Shore and a step-daughter Kelly (Bob) Marshall of Loganton. Three grandchildren; Wayne Berry, Jr, Danielle Lavallee and Katie Underkoffler and five great grandchildren.
He is survived by a brother LaRue Sweeley of Loganton and two sisters, Pearl Swartz of Rebersburg and Gladys Swartz of Aaronsburg.
Darvin was preceded in death by a sister Jane Schrack and a brother Clyde Sweeley.
Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
