David A. Grolemund, 83, of Renovo passed away Monday, March 1, 2021 at Bucktail Medical Center in S. Renovo. He was the husband of Florence D. (Kozemko) Grolemund who passed away in 1986.
Born January 24, 1938 in Wharton, PA he was the son of the late Edward and Fannie (McGuire) Grolemund. After high school, David joined the U.S. Air Force and served overseas during the Korean War.
David retired as a Mechanical Engineer from NASA in Greenbelt, MD. After moving to Renovo, he joined the Renovo Elks Lodge #334 and served as a Leading Knight. He enjoyed reading, classic country music, and astronomy.
David is survived by three stepchildren, Eddie (Karen Charles) Cox of Spotsylvania, VA; Saundra Dudley of Spotsylvania, and Steve Cox of Bowie, MD; two grandchildren, Heather Douglas of Spotsylvania, and Stephen Cox of Houston, TX; three great-grandchildren, Kian and Luci Douglas, and Harry Miller of Spotsylvania; one niece, Patricia A. Chavez of Renovo; and a great niece and nephew, Jennifer Hood of Round Hill, VA, and Michael Chavez of Renovo. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, he was preceded in death by one stepson, David Cox.
Services are private at the convenience of the family. Maxwell Funeral Home has charge of arrangements.
