Donald Lee “Don” Motel, 55, of Lock Haven, PA passed away on January 9, 2021 at the UPMC Williamsport Medical Center after a protracted battle with cancer. Don was born May 31, 1965 to the Late Thomas and Martha E. (Frey) Motel, who survives. On July 15, 2011, he married Jodi Gamble, who also survives.
Don was a 1983 graduate of Lock Haven Area High School and a 1987 graduate of Bloomsburg University where he received a BS in Accounting. He was most recently employed at Lock Haven University by Aramark.
In addition to his mother and wife, he is also survived by a son, Tyler Thomas Motel of Exton, PA; step-daughters Leslie Andersen of Lewisburg, PA; Samantha Turner of Flint, MI; Kasandra Turner of Williamsport, PA; step-son Andrew Gamble of Lock Haven; six step-grandchildren; a brother, Thomas J. (Bridget) Motel of Mill Hall and his pal in life, Schultz, his German Shepard.
While growing up in the area, Don enjoyed the many activities we are blessed to have like hunting, fishing and motorcycle riding. He participated in the various baseball leagues in the area as a third basemen and pitcher. He was a member of the 1975, Lock Haven Little League Champions, Bloomsburg Mills and a member of the 1977 Lock Haven All-Star Team. In high school, Don participated as lead snare drummer in the award-winning marching band, the baseball team, Key Club and the German club.
Don also enjoyed travel going to Germany twice, various European countries and the Virgin Islands, as well as, throughout the United States.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.
Funeral arrangements are being handled by the Helt Funeral Chapel, Mill Hall.
