Ethel M. (Wilsoncroft) Young

Ethel M. (Wilsoncroft) Young, 93, of Renovo passed away Thursday, February 11, 2021 at Bucktail Medical Center in S. Renovo.

Born March 22, 1927 in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late Clyde and Matilda (Crosley) Wilsoncroft. She married her late husband, Donald E. Young, Sr., on her birthday in 1945. The couple shared 51 years of marriage together until Donald’s passing on April 9, 1996.

She was a long-term member of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Renovo. She enjoyed sitting outside on her porch watching friends and neighbors go by. She was one of the oldest members of the Renovo American Legion #442 and a member of The Eagles #516, and The Elks #334.

Ethel is survived by one son, Donald E. (Rosemary) Young of St. Marys; two daughters, Donna M. (Melvin) Kehl of Sinnemahoning, and Sally J. (Richard) Davis of Unityville; 8 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents and beloved husband, she was preceded in death by one grandson; six sisters, Alice, Maudie, Marion, Thelma, Lily, and Erma; and one brother, Richard.

Services are private at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at North Bend Cemetery. Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo has charge of arrangements.
