James E. Soo, Sr.

James. E. Soo, Sr., 68, of Lock Haven passed away Thursday, September 5, 2019 at Lock Haven Hospital.

Born July 15, 1951, he was the son of William T. and Elizabeth J. (Shrack) Soo. On May 26, 1969, James married the love of his life, Ethel M. (McCloskey) Soo and the two shared over 39 years of marriage together.

In his spare time, James loved to hunt, fish, watch wrestling, and wait patiently for his tomato plants to grow.

James is survived by one son, James E. Soo, Jr. (Tammy) of Lock Haven; two daughters, Tammy M. Camacho (Josh Kessinger) of Lock Haven, and Kathy J. Davis (Robert Summers, Jr.) of Lock Haven; nine grandchildren, Steven Fernburg, Jr., Keylye Mosier, Kirstin Smith, Ariel McCloskey, Aaron Soo, Jessica McCloskey, Richard Davis, Jr., Trevor Fernburg, and Owen Soo; six great-grandchildren; and four sisters, Jane Leone, Helen Colucci, Dorothy Vonada, and Pearl Lamey. In addition to his beloved wife and parents, James was preceded in death by two grandchildren, Bryan Davis and Anthony Davis; two brothers, Richard Soo, William (Son) Soo; and one sister, Marie Yawn.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at 7:00 P.M. Monday, September 9, 2019, at Helt Funeral Chapel, Inc., 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall, Pennsylvania, with Certified Celebrant Brigitte Morgan officiating. A viewing will be held one hour prior to the service. Burial will be at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, September 10, 2019, at Rest Haven Memorial Park in Lock Haven.
