Jane (Ross) Smolko

Jane (Ross) Smolko, 82, of Farwell passed away on Monday, March 15, 2021 at The Villas in Green Valley, AZ.

Born August 15, 1938 in Renovo she was a daughter of the late William and Mary (Dugal) Ross.

On May 18, 1963 she married Thomas P. Smolko. They celebrated 57 years of marriage together.

She worked as a custodian for Keystone Central School District for 24 years retiring in 2002.

Jane was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Renovo and the Rosary Society.

She enjoyed spending her winters in Arizona, going out to dinner and playing cards especially Euchre.

Surviving are her loving husband; one son Thomas R. Smolko of Belmar, NJ and a sister Judy McCool of Renovo.

She was preceded in death by a brother William “Peanut” Ross.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 24, 2021 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 925 Huron Ave., with the Rev. Joseph Orr officiating.

A visitation for family and friends will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 -11:00 a.m. at the Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth St., Renovo.

Burial will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner.
