Jane E. (Hicks) Witchey

Jane E. (Hicks) Witchey, 97, a former resident of S. Renovo passed away Tuesday, Sept., 17, 2019 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo where she resided for the past 2 ½ years.

Born June 18, 1922 in Emporium she was the daughter of the late Charles and Sarah (Viner) Hicks.

Jane was married to John Edison Witchey who preceded her in death on September 6, 1977.

She worked as a bartender for the Eagles and owned and operated a fabric shop in her home fore several years.

Jane was a member of the former Trinity Episcopal Church and now a member or Zion Lutheran Church, Renovo.

She enjoyed camping with her family and was an avid Penn State Fan.

Surviving are a daughter, Karen (David) Overgord of South Renovo and a grandson Jesse Overgord of Woolrich. Also surviving are two great grandsons Jesse and Justin.

She was preceded in death by a grandson Rusty Overgord in 2012 and a twin sister June.

Services and interment will be private at the convenience of the family at Fairview Cemetery, Farwell.

Memorial contributions can be made to Bucktail Medical Center or Zion Lutheran Church.
