John R. Baney, Jr., 67, of Mill Hall passed away Monday, January 20, 2020 at his residence with his family by his side.
Born July 17, 1952 in Lock Haven he was a son of the late John R. Baney, Sr. and Violet (Brown).
John worked in the maintenance department at Rockview and retired after 28 years.
He was a 1972 graduate of Bald Eagle Nittany High School.
John enjoyed riding his Harley motorcycle’s, hunting and fishing. He was a member of the Susquehanna Valley Big Twins Motorcycle Club, Son’s of Italy and the Castanea Fire Hall.
He enjoyed socializing with his family and friends.
Surviving are twin sons, John R. Baney, III and James D. (Holly) Baney both of Mill Hall and two daughters, Bobbi J. (Merril) Shirk of Blanchard and Barbara J. (James) Yingling of Newport News, VA.
Six grandchildren, Taylor, Brett, Salena, Ryan, Tanner and Hunter and one great granddaughter Audra.
He is survived by several brothers and sisters.
A celebration of life service will be held at 3:00 p.m., Friday, January 24, 2019 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall with Certified Celebrant Brigitte C. Morgan officiating.
Friends and relatives will be received at the funeral chapel form 1:00 -3:00 p.m.
Burial will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery, Mill Hall.
