Joyce Anne (Gardner) Dress

Joyce Anne Dress, 81, of Beech Creek, PA was welcomed home by her Lord and Savior, as well as her husband, Saturday March 7, 2020.  Joyce was born November 11, 1938 in Smyrna, DE to Frederick and Thelma McFarland Gardner.  She met and married the love of her life Airman Nevin C. Dress on April 25, 1959.  Together they travelled the world while raising two children.  Joyce loved to crochet and was an avid reader of mystery novels. She also enjoyed her Red Hat monthly outings.  Joyce was a secretary at Dover AFB for a time but took extreme pride in being a loving wife and mother.

Along with her parents Joyce is preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, Nevin C. Dress, a grandson, Jason Frisbie and son in-law, Melvin Frisbie.  She leaves behind her children Marlene Frisbie of Athens, PA, Curtis Dress and Rose Hibbler of Beech Creek.  Grandchildren Matthew Frisbie of Hughesville, PA, Melvin “Chip” and Janet Frisbie of Milan, PA and great grandchildren Mary and Nicholas Frisbie of Milan, PA.  She will be greatly missed by her sister Marie Wishard of Laurel, DE, her brother Edward Gardner of Wilmington, DE, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.

Calling hours will be held at Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall on Saturday March 14, 2020 from 12-1PM with a funeral to follow.

Burial will be at Cedar Hill Cemetery.
