RENOVO - Julia E. Isaacs, 72, died, Monday, November 12, 2018 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo where she was a patient for 2 ½ months. Born October 15, 1946 in Renovo a daughter of the late Russell W. McKinley and Martha B. Miller.
Julia was married to Michael Storeman who died in 2002.
She worked for Hammermill in Lock Haven and was also a park ranger for Lyman Run, Patterson, Cherry Springs and Prouty Place State Parks.
Julia was one of the first female firefighters in PA. She was also an E.M.T. She graduated in 1965 from Bucktail High School.
She served in the Marines.
She was a member of the Eagles, Elks and the American Legion of Renovo. She enjoyed playing darts.
Surviving are her daughter, Jeri Lee (Daniel Snyder) Isaacs of Renovo one step-son, Michael S. (Lanna) Storeman and also a step-daughter Michelle (Sean) Leiphart both of York. Six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. One brother Earl W. McKinley of Williamsport and two sisters Elsie C. Warner of Chambersburg and Shirley J. Culp of Carter Camp.
She was preceded in death by two sisters Myrna R. Muckle and Anna M. McKinley.
A memorial service will be held in the spring and will be announced.
Memorial contributions can be made in her memory to Bucktail Medical Center or Kettle Creek Ambulance Association.
