Juliann C. (Leoni) Thorson

Juliann C. Thorson, 95, of Renovo passed away August 25, 2022 at Bucktail Medical Center. Juliann was born in Renovo, PA on December 4, 1926, daughter of the late Leone and Marianna (Brunetti) Leoni.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 67 years Clifford, daughter MaryRuth, as well as nephew John J. DeJoice, Sr. and niece Helen Fortson.

Juliann had a wonderful sense of humor, she loved her home and held family close. She was a talented cook, she enjoyed gardening, reading, and drawing. Juliann was a devoted Catholic and a member of St. Joseph Church, Renovo. She was a graduate of St. Joseph High School.

Juliann is survived by nieces and nephews Elizabeth DeJoice; John J. DeJoice, Jr. (Sons John J. DeJoice III and Collin A. DeJoice) of Cumberland, MD; Mary Jo DeJoice of Elkins, WV; John Fortson and Eric Fortson of San Diego, CA.  And her close friend Babe Nuss.

The funeral service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept., 7, 2022 in the chapel at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner with the Rev. Joseph T. Orr officiating.

Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery.
