Mary Beverly Tolomay, 96, passed away peacefully at home in Renovo on Thursday, May 13, 2021, with her family by her side.
Born on September 8, 1924, in Renovo, she was the daughter of the late Myrtle and Thomas Vroman.
Mary worked in the Renovo Shops during World War II. On April 10, 1948 she married Lawrence Tolomay, who preceded her in death.
She enjoyed gardening, arts and crafts, sitting on her front porch, and especially spending time with her family. Mary was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church.
Mary is survived by two sons, Joseph of New Haven, Indiana, and John (Mary) of Victor, New York; ten grandchildren, Regina (Mark) Weidemeier of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Joe Tolomay of New Haven, Indiana, Anthony Tolomay of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Daniel (Kelly) Tolomay of New Haven, Indiana, Keith Tolomay of Fort Wayne, Indiana, Amy (Craig) Brubaker of Brighton, Michigan, Emilio Tolomay, Gene Tolomay, John Tolomay, and Alan Tolomay all of Victor, New York; and eight great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, Mary was preceded in death by six siblings, Kathryn Eck, William, Beatrice Tegart, Earl, Carl, and Virginia Johnson.
A viewing for friends and family will be from 4 to 6 p.m. on Friday, May 21, 2021 at Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 5th St., in Renovo. A service will directly follow at 6 p.m. with Pastor John C. Baney officiating. Burial will be at North Bend Cemetery in North Bend, Pennsylvania.
Memorial contributions may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 7th Street, Renovo.
