Michael A. Tarantella

Michael Anthony Tarantella, 60, of Johnstown, and formerly of Renovo, passed away Saturday, June 19, 2021 at the University of Pittsburgh Presbyterian Hospital.

Born February 27, 1961, he was a son of the late Albert M. and Elvera I. (Malizia) Tarantella, Sr. Michael was Catholic in Faith.

He graduated from the Scranton State School for the Deaf and later became president of the Ebensburg Deaf Club. He worked for over ten years at Market Basket Groceries.

Michael loved to spend time with his family and his fiancée of ten years, Mary Geisel. In his spare time, he enjoyed camping, hunting, fishing, boating, spending time with his dogs, and watching NASCAR.

Michael is survived by four siblings, Virginia R. (William) Serafini of Renovo, John J. (Mary Ann) Tarantella, Sr. of Renovo, Thomas E. (Ann) Tarantella, Sr. of Renovo, and Vincent V. (Deborah)Tarantella, Sr. of Renovo. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Albert M. Tarantella, Jr.

Services will be announced at the convenience of the family. Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo has charge of arrangements.
