Richard J. Matter

Richard J. Matter, 84, a former resident of Summit Street, Lock Haven passed away, Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Susque-View where he resided the past six years.

He was born June 24, 1935 in Lock Haven a son of the late Jesse and Ethel (Mitcheltree) Matter.

Richard worked as a designer draftsman for the Department of Park and Waters in Harrisburg for over 30 years. He was a 1953 graduate of Lock Haven High School and the former Williamsport Technical School. He was a Methodist.

He was a longtime Yankee’s fan and enjoyed old Movies and Marilyn Monroe.

Surviving are two sisters, Patricia (Archie) Miller of Beech Creek and Linda (Dennis) Dyer of Sunbury and also three nephews Michael, John and Joshua.

A private service will be held at the convenience of the family at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Lock Haven.
