Richard D. Shade

Richard D. Shade, 68, a former resident of Kephart Plaza, Lock Haven passed away Sunday, March 16, 2025 at Jersey Shore Nursing & Rehabilitation.

Born March 27, 1956 in Lock Haven he was a son of the late Fred D. and Doris E. (Dullen) Shade.

He worked in the construction field most of his life and later at Dollie’s Diner in Williamsport.

He served in the Army.

Richard was a member of the American Rescue Workers in Williamsport.

Surviving are a brother Gene (Sue) Shade of Castanea and three sisters, Anne (Irvin) Bowmaster of Jersey Shore and twin sisters Darla Cummings of Lock Haven and Darlene Benfield of Mifflintown.

He is survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

A private family viewing will be held and a benefit bingo is being planned to assist with final expenses.
