Rick L. Zener

Rick L. Zener, 66, of Beech Creek passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at his residence with his family by his side.

Born September 21, 1957 in Lock Haven he was a son of the late Gilbert and Sara Jane (McCloskey) Zener.

Rick was married on May 25, 1985 to the former Penny L. Brown. They celebrated 38 years of marriage together.

He worked for Woolrich for 38 years, Lowes, Centre County Christian Academy in Bellefonte and the Clinton County Commissioner’s office.

Rick was a member of Faith Baptist Church where he was a song leader. He enjoyed golfing, fishing, hunting and Penn State Wrestling.

Surviving are his loving wife; one son Michael (Terresa) Zener of Soldotna, Alaska and a daughter Bethany (Matthew) Miller of Beech Creek and two grandchildren, Shaylynn and Aleena. 

Also, a brother; Ron (Paula) Zener of Woolrich and three half-sisters; Kathy Little of Mill Hall, Ellen (John) Lorson of Williamsport and Eleanor Myers of Lock Haven.

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, February 16, 2024 at Faith Baptist Church, 143 Liberty Street, Blanchard with Pastor Troy Kerstetter officiating.

A viewing for friends and family will begin at 1:00 o'clock - an hour prior and the service.

Burial will follow at Blanchard Church of Christ Cemetery.

Memorial contributions can be made in his memory to the Faith Baptist Church.
