Robert C. Broad, Sr.

Robert C. Broad, Sr., 86, of Mill Hall passed away, Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at ProMedica in Jersey Shore.

Born July 20, 1936 in Johnstown he was a son of the late William and Margaret (Seth) Broad.

He was married on Sept., 19, 1964 to the former Geraldine Wood. They celebrated 58 years of marriage together.

Robert served in the Air Force. He was a mechanic for over 35 years and he enjoyed woodworking.

He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church where he sang in the choir and was a lector. Robert was a member of the Knights of Columbus in Lock Haven.

Surviving are his loving wife; three sons, Robert C. Broad, Jr. of Ridgecrest, CA, Michael P. Broad of Mill Hall and Andrew M. Broad of Pasadena, MD also a daughter, Susan M. (Jeff) Donato of Medina, OH. Four grandchildren, Bailey, Mark, Zachary and Jacob.

He is survived by a brother Jim Broad of Cresson and a sister Rose Szwast of Cumberland, MD.

Robert was preceded in death by three brothers and four sisters.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, Dec., 27, 2022 at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, 310 W. Water St., Lock Haven with the Rev. Joseph Orr officiating.

Friends and relatives will be received from 1:00 p.m. - 1:45 p.m. on Tuesday at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.

Burial will be private at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Lock Haven.
