Robert S. Kennelley, 93, a former resident of Mill Hall died Monday, August 17, 2020 at Susque-View.
Born March 28, 1927 in Lock Haven he was a son of Samuel B. and Lettita (Askins) Kennelley.
He was married to the former Jane Carter who died in 1989.
Robert worked for Piper and retired in 1984 and then volunteered at Susque-View for 20 plus years.
He was a member and past commander of the VFW Post 1630 Lock Haven and the Millheim American Legion post #444 Keystone. In 2003 the Lock Haven Rotary Club presented him citizen of the year.
Robert served in the Coast Guard in World War II.
Surviving are four step-grandchildren and several step-great grandchildren. He is survived by a sister-in-law Catherine “Kitty” Kennelley of Middletown.
He was preceded in death by a step-daughter Joanne Herr in 2008 and a brother Clyde in 2009.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, August 21, 2020 at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall. There will be no visitation.
Burial will be private at Sunnyside Cemetery, Mill Hall.
