Rosalie Vivian Serafini Conti, 92, of Camp Hill, PA, passed away peacefully at home on June 1, with family by her side. Rose was born January 31, 1929 in Renovo, PA. She graduated from St. Joseph’s High School, Renovo, and married John Laughlin ‘Jack’ Conti, also of Renovo, in 1952. The couple moved to the Harrisburg area shortly thereafter. Rose was employed by Nationwide Insurance and later worked as an accountant for the Pennsylvania Department of Education for more than 20 years. She was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church, Harrisburg, and also attended Good Shepherd Church, Camp Hill.
Her family and her faith were always Rose’s main priorities and source of joy. She was everyone’s biggest cheerleader, thrilled at your smallest triumph and praying for your every challenge. She was a model of tact and grace, holding her tongue, never critical or judgmental. Rose was well-read, sharp as a tack, and a keen follower of politics. She loved American history, cards and games, professional golf and Notre Dame football. Rose carried on her family’s Italian baking traditions well into her 80s. She was a gentle, gracious and generous mother, grandmother and friend.
Rose is predeceased by her husband, Jack. She is survived by her sister, Sister M. Andrea Serafini, of Camp Hill; son Michael Conti (Christine) of Potomac, MD; daughter Karen Bengston (David) of Avondale, PA; granddaughters Elizabeth Conti and Rachael Conti of Washington, DC; granddaughter Jana DeNobrega (Patrick) of Towson, MD; granddaughter Sara Bengston (Ryan Malloy) of Mt. Pleasant, SC and great-grandson Jackson DeNobrega.
Burial will be private. Maxwell Funeral Home in Renovo has charge of arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the American Heart Association.
