Shirley M. Neff

MILL HALL - Shirley M. (Smith) Neff, 79, died Sunday, November 4, 2018 at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville. She was born March 31, 1939 in Mill Hall a daughter of the late James and Myrtle (Dullen) Smith.

She retired from Woolrich and was a bar manager for the Avis American Legion. She was an auxiliary member of the Lock Haven American Legion, life member of the Fulton County V.F.W. and auxiliary member of the Lock Haven V.F.W.  She was a member of the Moose and the Sons of Italy of Lock Haven.

Shirley was an avid Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers fan. She enjoyed fishing.

Surviving are a son, Frankie (Coreen) Killinger, Jr. of Mill Hall and two daughters Lori Castillo of Charles Town, WV and Nadine (Stephen C.) Willits of Jersey Shore. Six grandchildren, Mathew, Cody, Anna, Joseph, Katelyn, Coleen and twelve great grandchildren. Also surviving are a brother Ronald Smith of Mill Hall and two sisters, Dorothy Walizer of McElhattan and Judy Welch of Mill Hall.

She was preceded in death by two brothers Bobby and James.

A gathering for family and friends will be held on Thursday, November 8, 2018 from 6:00 -7:00 p.m. at the Helt Funeral Chapel, 232 Hogan Blvd., Mill Hall.

Interment will be private at Cedar Hill Cemetery.

Contributions can be made in her memory to Mark the Shark Toy Drive through the funeral chapel.
