Stanton L. "Manny" Probst, Jr.

RENOVO- Stanton L. “Manny” Probst, Jr., 79, of Farwell, passed away Thursday, January 17, 2019 at Bucktail Medical Center, S. Renovo.

Born December 22, 1939 in Renovo, he was the son of the late Stanton L. and Mary A. (Barbarich) Probst, Sr.

Stanton was the husband of the late Janet L. (Kane) Probst who passed away July 20, 2018. They shared 52 years of marriage together and were members of the St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church in Renovo.

As an eight-year veteran, he proudly served as a Corporal in the Marine Corps and later, as a member of the Marine Corps League Bucktail Detachment #856.

Also, a member of Renovo Elks Club #334, American Legion Post #442, and the Western Clinton County Sportsman’s Association. He retired from Consolidated Gas. Co. at Leidy where he worked as a repairman and mechanic.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, coin collecting, gardening, and was well known for making and selling turkey calls.

“Manny” will be missed by his loving family and friends including; daughter, Heather L. Bruno of Renovo; grandson, Darrin T. Bruno of Renovo; brother, Arthur Probst and wife, Donna of Mill Hall; sister, Susan Smith of Renovo; and nephews, Michael Smith and Arthur Probst, Jr.

A private family service will be held at the convenience of the family. Burial will be at St. Joseph Cemetery, Hyner. Maxwell Funeral Home, 205 Fifth Street, Renovo, is in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Clinton County SPCA, 33 Mill Hall Road, Lock Haven, PA 17745.
