Steven A. Shade, Sr., 70, of Mill Hall passed away Saturday, January 23, 2021 at his residence with his loving family by his side.
Born June 27, 1950 in Lock Haven he was a son of the late Morgan and Sarah (Kinley) Shade.
He was married on October 24, 1981 to the former Lisa M. Gummo. They celebrated 39 years of marriage together.
Steve was a self-employed mechanic and owned Shades Garage in Mill Hall for many years. He enjoyed fishing, camping and spending time with his grandchildren who he dearly loved.
He coached little league baseball and was an equipment manager for Pop Warner football. Steve was a volunteer maintenance man for Taggart Field in Lock Haven for 8 years.
Surviving are his loving wife, four sons, Robert C. (Kimberly) Rudolph, Jr. of Sinking Springs, Steven A. (Melissa) Shade, Jr. of Mill Hall, Matthew A. Shade of Mill Hall and Travis W. Shade, Sr. of Fredericks, MD and a daughter Sara M. Shade of Lock Haven.
Ten grandchildren, Jayden, Riley, Brielle, Travis, Darius, Coyle, Carson, Aliea, Brennalyn and Kannon.
Also surviving are brothers, Morgan Shade, Jr., Daniel Shade and Richard Shade all of Lock Haven and a two sisters Lulu Belle Kline of Flemington and Betty Shade of Lock Haven.
Along with his parents he was preceded in death by three brothers John, Ed, and Tom and a sister Eliza.
Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
Helt Funeral Chapel, Mill Hall has charge of arrangements.
